Outdoor Deck and Recreation Construction
Deck construction starts with code-compliant footings, structural green-treated wood and finished with cedar or composite material decking.
Decks can be attached to a house, placed as standalone gathering areas, or built surrounding an entertainment area such as a pool or spa. Privacy and
Security fencing around swimming pools may be required for code in your community.

Upper story decks may be constructed without stairs in situations where there are security concerns, pets, or small children.
Most municipalities will have code requirements for safety railings on upper story constructions. Many newly constructed houses will have pre-existing headers
to which decks can be attached.

The deck exterior finish can be constructed to match the house color scheme using Procell™ deck system and PVC railings. In addition, privacy walls can be placed on the deck. The UnderDeck® System can be used to hide the typical deck joists to provide an attractive ceiling and also redirect water.

Patio Decks can be constructed to match the floor level of a main entrance. They can extend the
floor space of a house. Patio decks can be elevated above existing original slabs to enhance the
landscaping and set apart an outdoor entertainment area. Patio decks constructed near the ground level
may not need safety railings in your city. Multiple levels can be built to make the transition to the home entrance more gradual.
Landscaping and light fixtures also can be integrated.

Basement Remodeling and Indoor additions
Many newly constructed houses in the Twin Cities are left with basements unfinished. Built in cabinets, shelves, fireplaces, wet/dry bars,
and other finish carpentry can be added to enhance living spaces and provide entertainment areas. Maple and Oak are popular hardwoods
for furniture-quality finish carpentry. Plumbing, cabling, and electrical work can be done for built-in fixtures.

Screen and Panel porches
Enjoy more of the summer evenings with a screen porch as a standalone addition or as part of an outdoor deck. Screen porches are
enclosed spaces with a roof and door. The outside walls can be cedar, or else sided with aluminum or vinyl to match the exisiting house exterior.
Panel porches are similar to screen porches, but have removable glass panels that make them available for three seasons in the Midwest.
Panel portches can be constructed as a standalone structure, as an addition or as part of a deck and stairs construction.
